Original Paragraph:

In the early hours of the morning, the sun began to peek over the horizon, casting a pink and orange glow across the sky. The birds began to sing, and the squirrels started to chatter. A light breeze blew through the trees, rustling the leaves and sending a chill down my spine. I shivered and wrapped my arms around myself, but I couldn’t take my eyes off of the beauty before me. I watched as the colours in the sky changed, growing brighter and more intense until they finally faded away into a deep blue. The sun continued to rise, slowly making its way up into the sky until it was fully visible. It shone down on everything, making everything look so different than it does in the dark of night. The world seemed so much bigger and more alive in that moment. I took a deep breath and felt the warmth of the sun on my face. It was going to be a good day.

Verb Definition:

A verb is a word that expresses an action or a state of being. Verbs are the foundation of sentences and phrases, and without them, we wouldn’t be able to communicate very effectively. There are three main types of verbs: action verbs, linking verbs, and helping verbs. Action verbs express physical or mental actions, linking verbs connect the subject of a sentence to a noun or adjective in the predicate, and helping verbs assist the main verb in a sentence by indicating tense, mood, or ability.
